Dr. Michael Lindemann received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and received his DDS, with honors, from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He completed his endodontic specialty training at the University of Michigan, earning a master’s degree. He continues to teach endodontics at the University of Michigan as an adjunct clinical professor. Dr. Matthew Lindemann also attended the University of Michigan, first graduating summa cum laude in Psychology and then receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors. He later attended The Ohio State University, where he attained his master’s degree in endodontics. Both doctors are American Board Certified and the only father-son team in the world with those credentials. Additionally, both are fellows of the following honorary societies: International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Lastly, both doctors are Past Presidents of the Michigan Association of Endodontists, have helped run the State of Michigan Endodontic Licensure Committee, and have served as Endodontic Peer Review Chairmen for the State of Michigan.
Both doctors have completed many hours of continuing education and are active in many dental organizations, including the American Association of Endodontists, Michigan Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and the Genesee District Dental Society.
Drs. Michael and Matthew Lindemann provide today’s most advanced endodontic procedures to help preserve teeth that have an infected or inflamed pulp. Causes of infection or inflammation include trauma, cavities, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, or a crack or chip in the tooth. If left untreated, these can lead to an abscessed tooth, pain, or even tooth loss.
Drs. Michael and Matthew Lindemann use the latest endodontic advances, including state-of-the-art microscopes with 5-24X magnification (since 1994, when few endodontist had such technology), and electronic apex locators (to aid in determining the precise location of the root end). In fact, microscopes are used in every case from start to finish, ensuring the best possible outcome. Plus, Drs. Michael and Matthew Lindemann put your safety first with single-use nickel-titanium files and sterilization equipment that meets the stringent standards set forth by OSHA.
Digital radiography with minimal radiation has been used since 1999, and CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) screening aids in optimal diagnosis and pre-surgical planning. All records are in digital format to guard patient safety and facilitate communication with your dentist.
